Editorial approach

WHY THIS BOOK IS DIFFERENT

This is not a catalogue of verdicts. Each dossier separates a claim from the surviving record, identifies provenance, describes corroboration and uncertainty, and explains what the available evidence can reasonably support. Absence of evidence is not treated as proof of falsehood; a debunked assessment requires positive contradictory evidence.
