THE ARCHIVE PLATE COLLECTION

Original interpretive artwork · Creative direction by Ronin Naodhinsuk. Archive Plates are an interpretive layer around the Institute’s records and are never presented as historical proof, documentary evidence or a substitute for a source.

Art creates space for attention. Evidence retains its own provenance.

ART VS EVIDENCE

Archive Plates are interpretive works. Archival evidence consists of historical or documentary materials—photographs, documents, maps, manuscripts, newspaper records, museum objects, government records, excavation images, public-domain material or appropriately licensed material. These layers are intentionally identified separately throughout the Institute.
